24K (999) is Bhavflow’s base rate: ₹13,838 per gram today.
18K = 24K rate × 18 ÷ 24: ₹13,838 × 18/24 = ₹10,379 per gram (75% gold; the hallmark reads 18K750).
18 carat gold is 18 parts gold out of 24, or 75% gold, written as 750. The other 25% is alloy metals such as copper, silver or palladium, which make it harder and give white, yellow or rose colours. It is common for diamond and gem-set jewellery and lightweight designs.
The first card at the top of this page shows Bhavflow’s indicative national 18K (750) rate per 10 grams and per gram; the table shows 1 g, 8 g, 10 g, 12 g and 100 g. It excludes 3% GST and making charges.
18K gold is 75% gold, so Bhavflow’s 18K rate is exactly 18/24 of its 24K rate. The purity math under “Purity math” shows today’s numbers.
750 is the fineness of 18 carat gold: 750 parts of gold per 1,000. A BIS hallmark on 18K jewellery reads 18K750, next to the BIS logo and the 6-digit HUID.
18K is harder than 22K, so it holds stones securely and keeps fine shapes. It is common for diamond and gem-set jewellery and lightweight designs.
The long-term Indian series Bhavflow uses (RBI monthly averages) covers standard gold (995) and silver only, not 18K. This page shows Bhavflow’s own daily 18K rate for 1D to 1Y; the long ranges are on the 24K page.
Usually the day’s rate for the tested purity (75% gold) minus the jeweller’s deduction. Making charges and GST paid at purchase are not returned. Ask about buyback terms before you buy.
