Gold rate in your city

Bhavflow shows one national indicative rate. City pages show it alongside local bullion markets, hallmark checks and buying tips.

No mystery math

  • International gold & silver spot prices
  • USD–INR reference rate and import duty
  • Estimated domestic market premium
  • GST and jeweller making charges excluded

Rates are derived from international spot prices of gold (XAU) and silver (XAG) in US dollars, converted to rupees at the day's USD–INR rate, with Indian import duty (basic customs duty + AIDC) added, plus an estimated domestic market premium (about 1% on gold and 5% on silver) calibrated to IBJA benchmark rates so the figures sit closer to Indian market prices. 22K is 22/24 and 18K is 18/24 of the 24K price. GST and jeweller making charges are not included. More on method and sources.

Frequently asked questions

The cards at the top of this page show Bhavflow’s indicative national rate for 24K, 22K and 18K gold per gram and per 10 grams. It is updated about every 30 minutes and excludes GST and making charges.

Jewellers add making charges and 3% GST, and many follow a local association or bullion-dealer rate that can be a little above or below a national figure. Bhavflow’s rate is calculated from international prices, so treat it as a reference point, not a shop price.

24K (999) is 99.9% pure gold and is used for coins and bars. 22K (916) is 91.6% gold and is the usual purity for Indian jewellery. 18K (750) is 75% gold and is common in diamond and lightweight jewellery.

The India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA) publishes benchmark rates twice a day (AM and PM) for gold 999, 995, 916 (22K) and 750 (18K) per 10 grams and for silver 999 per kg, excluding GST and making charges. Bhavflow shows the latest IBJA table next to its own rate, with the date and a link to ibjarates.com, so you can compare the two; Bhavflow’s own rate is calculated separately.

No, unless the note under the rate cards says otherwise. 3% GST applies when you buy gold or silver in India.

Sone ka bhav aaj (today’s gold rate) is in the first rate cards: 24K, 22K and 18K per 10 grams with the per-gram rate below. Chandi ka bhav aaj ka (today’s silver rate) is in the silver card, per kg. Both are Bhavflow’s national indicative rates, excluding GST and making charges.

Look for the BIS hallmark: the BIS logo, the purity (for example 22K916) and a 6-digit HUID code. Enter the HUID in the BIS CARE app (Verify HUID) to see the purity, the type of article and the registered jeweller.
